Physical Education

Subject overview

In both GCSE and A Level Physical Education students develop their knowledge and understanding, application and analysis of factors that underpin performance and physical activity. Lessons fully prepare students for their summer examination at the end of the two year course.

Students are taught stimulating lessons both in the classroom and in a practical way.

GCSE students need 3 practical assessments to count towards their final grade and they complete a written evaluation of performance coursework.

A Level students are assessed in their strongest practical assessment and must complete a substantial written coursework element.
