Drama

Drama lessons at Polam Hall School offer our pupils opportunities to become well rounded, articulate and cooperative young people who are able to work creatively in group and independent situations.

Throughout their time studying Drama pupils will participate in a variety of units of work including devised, scripted and issue based. Drama lessons give pupils a safe platform to be able to explore current affairs and issues in a sensitive, educational and structured manner. The study of Drama is part of a balanced and engaging curriculum which equips pupils with transferable skills which can be utilised across other subjects as well as promoting skills for lifelong learning and employability.

Drama at Key Stage 3 is split into three strands which are all weighted equally: making, performing and responding, this prepares pupils for further study at GCSE and A Level.
